The Story Behind Flickfolio
Back in November 2025, I started building something I'd always wanted: a cute, customizable little home for everything I watch.
I wanted a place to log my favorite movies, discover something new, and look back on all the stories I'd experienced along the way. But I also wanted something that felt like mine. Something colorful, personal, and a little silly. A little corner of the internet I could call home.
With years of software development experience, I decided to build it myself.
What started as a personal passion project quickly became something I couldn't stop working on. Alongside my full-time day job, I spend time on Flickfolio every day, building new features, fixing bugs, and finding little ways to make it better. Over time, that one-person project has grown into a very small team, all sharing the same excitement for what Flickfolio can become.
Today, Flickfolio brings together movies, shows, individual episodes, collaborative collections, and profiles you can make entirely your own. I wanted to bring back a little of that old internet magic: the feeling of customizing your own page and creating something that reflects who you are, all without advertisements getting in the way.
Whether you're logging your hundredth rewatch, discovering your next favorite show, or decorating your profile until it's just right, I hope Flickfolio makes keeping track of what you love feel a little more special.
