Getting started
What is Flickfolio?
Flickfolio is an all-in-one movie tracker and TV show diary. Discover films and shows, log everything you watch down to the individual episode, rate and review it, build watchlists, see your viewing stats come to life, and share your taste with a community of film and TV lovers. Read more on the About page.
Is Flickfolio free?
Yes. Flickfolio is free to use — create an account and start tracking movies and shows at no cost, with 16 themes, 6 header effects, 18 animated background effects, photo or GIF profile pictures, and your pick of poster for any title (from its first 2 alternates) all included. An optional Flickfolio Pro subscription unlocks the full customization catalog and advanced stats — and directly supports Flickfolio, a solo passion project.
How do I create an account?
Sign up for free with Apple, Google, or your email address. Once you're in, you can start logging everything you watch right away.
Is there an iOS or Android app?
Yes — Flickfolio is on both the App Store and Google Play, so your watchlists, ratings, and activity feed come with you. You can also use Flickfolio in any web browser.
Tracking & rating
Can I track TV shows and individual episodes, not just movies?
Yes. Flickfolio tracks movies, TV shows, seasons, and individual episodes. You can mark whole seasons as watched in one tap, track rewatches, and save titles to a watchlist so you never lose track of what's next.
Can I rate and review individual seasons and episodes?
Yes. You can rate and review everything you watch — not just films and shows, but individual seasons and episodes too — so your ratings reflect exactly how you felt about each part.
Can I track rewatches?
Yes. Log a title again any time you rewatch it — Flickfolio keeps your full viewing history, so rewatches count toward your stats and show up on your diary.
How do I keep track of what I want to watch next?
Add titles to a watchlist. You start with a ready-made Watch Later list you can save things to right away, and you can create as many more lists as you like for any theme — a weekend queue, a horror marathon, films to rewatch. All your lists live on the watchlists page.
Discovering what to watch
How do I find something new to watch?
Browse popular and trending movies and shows, watch trailers, and explore by genre, decade, or country. You can also open the full cast of any title, then tap any actor or director to see everything they're in.
How do I find where a movie or show is streaming?
Open any movie or show page and you'll see where it's currently streaming, along with trailers, cast, and details — so you can go from discovery to watching in a couple of taps. Start searching.
Is there a smart or natural-language search?
Yes. Search understands natural queries — try a genre plus a decade, or an actor's name — and Flickfolio filters the results to match.
Watchlists & community
Can I make collaborative watchlists with friends?
Yes. Create public or private watchlists and invite friends to collaborate. Plan movie nights, build binge queues, and curate your next marathon together.
How do I connect with other people on Flickfolio?
Follow friends and see what the community is watching in your activity feed. Discover, like, and favorite watchlists made by other users — and share your own.
Can I make my watchlists private?
Yes. Watchlists can be public or private, and you control what you share. Private lists stay just for you and anyone you invite to collaborate.
What happens when I make my account private?
Turn on the private account option in settings and your activity becomes followers-only. New followers must send a request you approve, and only accepted followers can see your watched films and shows, reviews, lists, stats, favorites, and follower lists. Your logs, ratings, and reviews also stay out of the community feed and out of the review sections on movie, show, and people pages — accepted followers still see everything, including in their following feed. A few things stay visible so friends can still find you: you appear in user search, and your profile header — name, photo, bio, and follower counts — shows with a Private badge. Comments you leave on other people's reviews remain visible, and your ratings still count toward anonymous community averages.
Stats & personalization
Does Flickfolio show my viewing stats?
Yes. Your viewing habits turn into beautiful stat charts — track your trends, uncover insights, and showcase your all-time favorite movies, shows, seasons, and episodes right on your profile.
Can I customize my profile?
Yes. Customize your profile and watchlists with themes, header images, header effects, background effects, and color schemes — your pages are yours to decorate.
What do I get with Flickfolio Pro?
Flickfolio Pro unlocks all 48 profile and watchlist themes (32 are Pro exclusives), all 24 floating header effects and all 60 animated background effects with customizable colors, every alternate poster for any movie or show (free accounts pick from the first 2 — visitors to your profile see your picks either way), custom GIF uploads for your profile picture, and advanced year-by-year stats. Free accounts already get photo avatars and GIFs from the built-in library — Pro adds uploading your own. Flickfolio is built and run by one person, so going Pro directly keeps the project alive and growing. See Pro.
Can I get Flickfolio Pro for free?
Yes — invite friends. Anyone who creates a new account with your invite link gets six months of Flickfolio Pro free. Once they log their first film or show, you get six months of Pro for your first friend, plus another month for every friend after that, with no limit. Your personal invite link lives in Settings under Invite friends. Invite links only work for brand-new accounts and each account can redeem one code. If you already subscribe to Pro, the months you earn are banked instead, and they keep Pro running if your subscription ever ends.
Account & data
How is Flickfolio different from Letterboxd?
Flickfolio tracks both movies and TV — down to individual seasons and episodes, which film-only trackers don't do. It also leans hard into personalization: your profile and watchlists are pages you decorate with themes, header effects, and background effects, in the spirit of the old customizable personal web.
How do I delete my account?
You can request account deletion at any time from the account deletion page. This permanently removes your account and associated data.
How is my data handled?
Your data is covered by our Privacy Policy, which explains what's collected and how it's used. You stay in control of what you share publicly.
How do I get help or send feedback?
Flickfolio ships new features every week. Send feedback or questions through the Contact page, or email support@flickfol.io directly.
