It premiered in May 2001 and concluded in November 2005. The show lost ratings because of some drastic changes made in the cast. The lead actress Nausheen Sardar Ali was replaced by Mansi Joshi Roy and then Shilpa Saklani. Although the show was still very popular, it had to go off air. It is India's eighth-longest running serial.
