K11 – Kommissare im Einsatz is a pseudo-documentary in the style of a real-life crime drama, which is broadcast on the private channels Sat.1 and Puls 4 and so far consists of nine seasons.

In the show, selected applicants each present a curiosity, rarity or antique they have brought with them. Once they have received their expertise, they will have the opportunity on site to offer their exhibit to a changing five-person podium for sale and, ideally, to sell it to the highest bidder for „Bares“ ("cash").

Schmidt then moved his show to Das Erste as Harald Schmidt and Schmidt & Pocher, but he returned to Sat.1 on 13 September 2011. After cancellation on Sat.1, the show continued on Sky Deutschland in September 2012.

The Bambi, often called the Bambi Award and stylised as BAMBI, is a German award presented annually by Hubert Burda Media to recognize excellence in international media and television to personalities in the media, arts, culture, sports, and other fields "with vision and creativity who affected and inspired the German public that year", both domestic and foreign. First held in 1948, it is the oldest media award in Germany. The trophy is named after Felix Salten's book Bambi, A Life in the Woods and its statuettes are in the shape of the novel's titular fawn character. They were originally made of porcelain until 1958, when the organizers switched to using gold, with the casting done by the art casting workshop of Ernst Strassacker in Süßen.

The motto of the German version is “No fakes, no filters – everything is 100 percent real”. The participants are looking for true love and want to find someone who will accept them as they are, which requires them to reveal everything about themselves. For this reason, a female dater and a male dater meet naked singles in the “dating Naked Resort”, with whom they become closer on dates, games, theme parties and in everyday life. The daters can also choose to have a candidate sleep in their double bed for a night to get to know each other.

Aktenzeichen XY … ungelöst is a German television programme broadcast since October 1967 on ZDF that aims to combat and solve crimes. Until 2003 it was produced in co-operation with the Austrian public service broadcaster ORF and Schweizer Fernsehen, a division of the Swiss public broadcaster SRG SSR idée suisse. It was the basis for the BBC show Crimewatch, the Dutch show Opsporing Verzocht and its US equivalent America's Most Wanted.

The special thing about this unusual cooking competition: In each episode, the two top chefs decide in which country the other chef must complete his difficult task. After arriving in the respective country, the two competitors are served the favorite dish of his regular guests by a local chef in the black "Kitchen Impossible" box. They then have to prepare the dish they tasted in the kitchen themselves to the best of their knowledge and ability, copying it as precisely as possible. The highlight: In "Kitchen Impossible" both the exact recipe and the list of ingredients remain a secret for the two chefs.

Tigerenten Club is a German children's television programme. The programme involves a mix of games, quizzes, cartoons and outside reports from the presenters and children, with the aim to educate and entertain. Deutschland sucht den Superstar is a German reality talent show, also commonly known by its initials DSDS. Part of the Idol franchise, it was created by English media mogul Simon Fuller as a spin-off from the British show Pop Idol, of which two series were broadcast between the years of 2001 and 2003. Debuting to mediocre ratings in October 2002 on the RTL network, the show has since become one of the most successful shows on German television. The program aims to discover the best singer in the country through a series of nationwide auditions in which viewer voting determines the winner. Voting is done through telephone and SMS text voting.
