The Big Valley is an American western television series which ran on ABC from September 15, 1965, to May 19, 1969. The show stars Barbara Stanwyck, as the widow of a wealthy nineteenth century California rancher. It was created by A.I. Bezzerides and Louis F. Edelman, and produced by Levy-Gardner-Laven for Four Star Television.

Queen of Swords is an action–adventure television series set in California during the early 19th century that ran for one season, from 2000 to 2001. The series premiered October 7, 2000. After filming had been completed on 22 episodes and the first eight episodes were broadcast, the series was canceled.

In 1821 Los Angeles, twenty years after retiring from being Zorro, Don Diego de la Vega, married to Doña Gabriella, succeeds his father Don Alejandro as the town mayor. He quickly realizes that some injustices can only be fought by bringing back Zorro, so with the help of his trusted mute manservant Bernardo, Don Diego once again dons the cape and the mask.

A live-action six-part West German/French adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic adventure novel. Although not directly faithful, it is a highly liberal and stylised re-imagining that blends the pirate adventure with the popular genre of the time: the Euro-Western. In place of the novel's 18th-century setting is a distinct 19th-century 'Wild West' with cowboy style wardrobe and firearms. The central premise remains: a young man, Jim Hawkins, comes into possession of a treasure map and embarks on a voyage to a remote island.
