Barbra Streisand was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Still in her teens, she left home to pursue her dreams of becoming an actress. She went on to conquer the worlds of stage, screen, and music, winning the Tony Award, multiple Oscars, Emmys, and selling out concerts around the world. She's the most successful female recording artist in popular music history and the only singer to have a number-one album in five consecutive decades. This concert video, recorded on October 11th & 13th, 2012, captures Barbra's triumphant return to her hometown. With special guest Chris Botti and a thrilling duet with her son, Jason Gould, Barbra achieves yet another career milestone, proving along the way that you can take the girl out of Brooklyn, but you can't take Brooklyn out of the girl!

Filmed during her North American concert tour in 2006, legendary vocalist Barbra Streisand captivates her audience with renditions of her best-loved hits, including "The Way We Were" and "People," as well as 14 songs that she's never before sung live, such as "Down With Love" and "Come Rain or Come Shine." Streisand is also joined by popular operatic quartet Il Divo on a night to remember.

Barbra Streisand returned to regular concert performances with this lavish production at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas. Performing on New Years Eve 1993 and January 1, 1994 Streisand was a smash hit and a U.S concert toured followed through the first half of 1994. The tour concluded in July in Anaheim, California and the final performance was filmed for a HBO special and won Barbra two Emmys the following year. However THIS performance is the MGM Grand concert which was filmed but not released in any format until 2004.

Timeless: Live in Concert, recorded at her Las Vegas show on New Year's Eve 1999, takes as its subject the star herself. It opens with a dramatization of her first, amateur recording session, with young Lauren Frost playing a part described in the credits as "Young Girl," though Streisand later refers to her as "mini-me." Frost doesn't get too far before being joined by Streisand herself on a stirring version of "Something's Coming" from West Side Story. The rest of "Act One" traces Streisand's career from her club days to her movie performances. "Act Two" has less of a narrative structure, though it is equally autobiographical, with Streisand displaying and commenting on videos of herself performing with other stars and building up to the stroke of midnight with a combination of old, recent, and new specially written songs. At 57 that night, Streisand remains in good voice.

HBO broadcast the final Anaheim show from Barbra Streisand in Concert (taped July 24, 1994) as Barbra: The Concert on August 21, 1994, garnering a television audience of 11.2 million viewers, and becoming the highest-rated musical event in the network's history. A home video release of The Concert followed a month later on VHS and Laserdisc. At the 47th Primetime Emmy Awards, the special was nominated in ten categories, winning five, including Outstanding Variety or Music Special and Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program. A live album recorded at Madison Square Garden was released in September 1994, The Concert reached number 10 on the Billboard Album Chart and was certified triple Platinum by the RIAA.

In 1985, Barbra Streisand released "The Broadway Album," which remains one of her most popular records. Barbra's first television special on HBO debuted in 1986. The special—which combined an interview with director William Friedkin with documentary footage of Barbra in the recording studio making 'The Broadway Album' - was only 40 minutes long. The best of Broadway comes to life in the tour, as Streisand rehearses "Putting it Together," "Can't Help Lovin' That Man of Mine" and "If I Loved You."
