Thirty years after their separation, Jane Birkin goes back, dipping into the memories of the family holidays she shared with Serge Gainsbourg. With her typical honesty wit and tenderness, she commentates on her own super 8 films. Serge the protector, the clown, looking after the children, quite another image of the now so famous man, adored and respected, and so terribly missed. Here, we are witness to this sensitive shy man, irresistibly funny and kind.

Anna, 50 years old, moves into her new house. Rooms are full of boxes which contain a lot of things and plenty of memories. Anna has lived many lives and her past comes out of these boxes. Her parents surely, but also her children and their fathers, the living and the dead. In this breakneck period of her life, time is running faster and faster and Anna takes a run-up to face the past and try to go towards the future. And, maybe, to manage to still believe in love?

A couple is torn apart for a whole night, evoking old age, death, memories, everyday life together, their work, their anguish.

A compilation of 30 French filmmakers, Alain Resnais and Jean Luc Godard among them, who use film to make a plea on behalf of a political prisoner. Jean Luc Godard and Anne Marie Mieville's film concerns the plight of Thomas Wanggai, West Papuan activist who has since died in prison. The short films were commissioned by Amnesty International.
