Lars Johnsson

Somewhere in the archipelago outside Sandhamn lives the barber Assar Gustafsson and his 17-year old daughter Anna-Bella. Out of the blue his wife comes back after five years of absence. She starts up a brothel in their bath house with Anna-Bella as the main attraction, a brothel that attracts various men from all over. The browbeaten Assar starts to make arrangements for his wife's permanent absence.

After a few years in prison Stickan comes out and trying to readjust to society. He is approached by his old prison buddy Janne who is full of ideas how to get over the money without having to work.

A young, shy and inexperienced man travels back to Sweden, to spend the summer at his mother's house. He meets a number of women with whom he has sexual relations.

Eight vignettes on a variety of topics, including a baby growing up, Charlie Chaplin, Birgit Nilsson, the racing track at Le Mans, erotic cleanliness, French literature, and a black woman in a cupboard in the neighborhood of Farsta near Stockholm.
