Fiona and Grant have been married for nearly 50 years. They have to face the fact that Fiona’s absent-mindedness is a symptom of Alzheimer’s disease. She must go to a specialized nursing home, where she slowly forgets Grant and turns her affection to Aubrey, another patient in the home.

In "Woman on a Bicycle," an unmarried French woman is pressed into service by the church to distribute underground communication pamphlets for the Resistance and ultimately ends up helping the church shelter 19 Jews.

A mother is so consumed with a possessive love for her son that she may have committed murder in order to keep him by her side. When the son's new wife is found murdered, the mother is arrested for the crime. In denial about his mother's guilt, the son, a successful lawyer, agrees to defend her. Based on a true story.
