Alex Poei is an animation supervisor at Industrial Light & Magic. His credits include The Hunger Games (2012), R.I.P.D. (2013), Aquaman (2018), Deadpool 2 (2018), and Deadpool & Wolverine (2024). At the 43rd Annie Awards, Alex Poei shared in winning the award for Outstanding Achievement in Character Animation in a Live Action Production for The Revenant (2015), explicitly recognised “for the bear,” alongside Matt Shumway, Adrian Millington, Blaine Toderian, and Kai-Hua Lan. More recently, his work on Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) earned him a nomination—again with colleagues Vincent Papaix, Georg Kaltenbrunner, Ziad Shureih, and Russell Lum—for the Hollywood Professional Association (HPA) Award for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Live Action Feature.
