Fred Burle was born in Brazil and has lived in Berlin since 2010. He completed his production studies at the dffb Berlin. The short films he has produced have screened at over 400 festivals worldwide. He has worked as a film critic, at the global distributor The Match Factory, at the Berlinale and the Munich Film Festival and lectured at the University of Brasilia and the European Film College. He is partner at the Berlin-based production company One Two Films. Among Burle's leading projects at the company are Cannes 2024 entry Armand by Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel, Ira Sachs' Peter Hujar's Day (Sundance and Berlinale 2025), as well as the new projects of Kleber Mendonça Filho, Maryam Touzani, Alex Camilleri, Sara Ishaq, André Hayato Saito and Annemarie Jacir.
