Artemio Benki

Martín is a young Argentinean piano virtuoso and composer. For four years, he has been a patient of El Borda psychiatric hospital. Music filled up his life. Now he is trying to return to life outside the asylum walls, while working on his new opus, "Enfermaria".

Seven directors develop their own scripts and come to Estonia to make their films with local cast and crew. Libertade is a feature length film project, comprising of seven short films directed by renowned film-makers from Georgia, Russia, Switzerland, Estonia and France. The common denominator of the five stories, preceded by a brief prologue by Artem Benki, is the setting of a giant open-pit mine in the Podkrušnohoří region in northwestern Bohemia and its surroundings, including the dominant feature of the landscape, the ruined Jezeří Castle.
