'Belinha, a Virgem' (Belinha, the Virgin) The wedding day of the virgin, Belinha is rapidly approaching,. But the wedding is against the will of her fiancé's mother. When her future mother-in-law asks the parochial priest to check whether Belinha is virgin or not, the girl uses her sculptural body to resolve the situation.

After the funeral of her father Arnaldo, who committed suicide, Engraçadinha confesses to the priest the motives. On the engagement party of her cousin Sílvio with Letícia, Engraçadinha seduces him in the library, and later she ends her engagement with Zózimo and lies to Letícia, telling that she is pregnant. Letícia decides to tell Arnaldo what happened, and he says that the child can not be born. He exposes dirty secrets to Engraçadinha, and a tragedy is announced.

Our planet was contaminated by many nuclear explosions that left the soil and the air filled with radiation, and now the few survivors of those catastrophic events live under the ground on a shelter controlled by scientists. After an incident inside the shelter, a group of rebellious scientists defy their leadership when they find a good possibility of returning to the surface.

A couple is charged with murdering a friend after discovering a fraud scheme at a data-processing center. They hide in a van, where they set up a clandestine station, so they start to report the fact, seeking to mobilize public opinion until it becomes a national scandal.

When Brazil finally came out from its dictatorship period, Tancredo Neves, the first civilian president after 20 years of military rule, got ill with a strange infection and finally died on 21 April 1985 before taking office. Knowing political stability could get compromised, before dying, he tried to look healthy, and the press also helped with the farce. The documentary is about his slow public agony and death.

Rui is determined to persuade Lucena to replace his horse-breeding operation with sugarcane cultivation and to jointly set up an ethanol plant. To this end, he forces a marriage between his son, Marcelo, and Lucena’s daughter, Diana. The "Black Beetle" intervenes in this plot. Lima, who, like Marcelo, seeks a way to defeat his rival, the car, pursues his goal by doing what he knows best: taming Cleide, the "other woman" in Marcelo's life. The Black Beetle acts as the connecting link, creating an atmosphere of fear and curiosity for both parties and driving the story toward an unexpected conclusion.

Clara directs the rehearsals of a theatrical play about Fernando Pessoa while constantly seeking the right man and the love of his life. One of the actresses is the lesbian Ana, who interprets the poet Mário de Sá Carneiro. She is Clara's friend and confidant with whom she shares an apartment. Clara does not perceive Ana's love for her, that always helps her to recover from the disappointments. Unlike the character Sá Carneiro, poet of decadentism, nostalgia, metaphysics and vague, Ana is the pragmatic side of Clara, who often brings a disillusioned vision as if it were Fernando Pessoa himself, who may be associated with concepts of the poet's heteronyms.

Comedy in 4 segments. In "Arroz e Feijão" (Rice and Beans), owner of a boarding-house seduces her young countryboy tenant. In "As Três Virgens" (The Three Virgins) three spinsters are influenced by the behaviour of their teenager niece, whom they are lodging. In "O Arremate" (The Purchase) a colonist turns his virgin daughter in to a landowner, to have his debts forgiven. And, finally, in "Vereda Tropical" (Tropical Trail), a man becomes sexually obsessed by a watermelon, to the point of having sexual intercourse with it. The stories are based on prize-winner short stories, from a Playboy contest.

An unemployed radio worker obsessed with suicide meets a rich brat.

August, 1980. Evandro Carreira, a Brazilian senator leaves his party's office in Manaus to visit his constituents in the state of Amazonas. Interviews with farmhands, loggers, explorer Paulo Lucena, Brazilian and Peruvian Indians and a representative of the National Indian Foundation (Funai) were recorded from the city of Benjamin Constant to the village of Cavalo Cocho. A visit to the indigenous village of the Ticunas and the lands of the Maiuruna people culminate with an interview and the actions of José Francisco da Cruz, a member of the Order of the Holy Cross. Throughout the trip, the economic potential of the Amazon and its problems (corruption in the indigenous policies and the pollution produced by factories) are shown.

The Trapalhões live in a floating boat and have a miserable life. When they find an abandoned baby, they decide to raise it as if it were their own daughter. Later, when they begin to work in a circus, they discover that the child is in fact the daughter of the trapeze artist and that she was forced to surrender her daughter to a gang that negotiates children abroad. This gang finds them and tries to recover the girl who now, however, has the help of the Trapalhões to protect her.
